Who we are
Health Information Systems Programme is an international coalition of academics, Information Technology experts and Monitoring and Evaluation practitioners. Since its establishment in 2006 in Nigeria, HISP has been fully involved in providing roll out and backstopping support for programmes that hope to deploy the DHIS2 for M&E functions. We analyse your existing data collection tools, give professional recommendations and help in setup and implementation of the electronic system to help your organisation solve persistent and development challenges.
The HISP Nigeria team is a broad collection of M&E experience, social systems development expertise and IT know-how. Our Team of young and vibrant professionals have been involved extensively in the consolidation of the DHIS in Nigeria; beginning with its roll out in Benue State and its eventual adoption as the default health management information systems software in Nigeria.
We support the Federal Ministry of Health in Nigeria and its partners enhance data systems and get accurate information for local action.
We support the State Ministries of Health in the 36 states of the country (plus the FCT), both local and international partners. Below are a few of the people we presently support.
